Insurance and Payment Policy

    Drs. Kirschen and Choi participate in two managed care plans, VSP ® and Medical Eye Services (MES). Please call ahead or inquire when booking the appointment if your plan will be accepted.  Our computers are connected directly to the insurance company and we will be happy to check your insurance eligibility for you. Co-payments and charges for glasses and contact lenses are expected to be paid at the time of the exam.

    We directly bill Medicare and Medical insurances for qualified patients. Co-pays and/or deductibles are paid at the time of the service.  We accept VISA and MasterCard as well as personal checks.

    A few plans separate "refractive" vision examinations from medical coverage (e.g. infections, injuries, cataracts) and limit coverage for this service. Unfortunately, it is not possible to determine in advance whether a particular examination will be covered or not; those services not covered by the patient's insurance carrier will be the responsibility of the patient.
